OUR GOAL: Organic Beef Boxes. You do not have to buy an entire side of beef. You don’t have to find someone to split it with you. You don’t have to worry about cutting and wrapping. Instead, you will be able To choose between a variety of cuts to build the perfect box for you. This beef will be 100% organic, free from and pesticides and antibiotics. An Organic, Eagle Point Murray Grey Beef Ranch
James DeHoog is the son of John and Martha DeHoog, who relocated to Springfield, Oregon, after their marriage and started a dairy farm in the early seventies. Growing up on that farm and watching his father raise and milk cows shaped who James is today. His work ethic and commitment to his family stem from his long heritage of Dutch dairy farmers.
James and his wife, Anna, decided to move to the Medford area to be closer to their businesses. They found an amazing piece of property in Eagle Point, which gave James the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream: getting back to raising cattle and embracing his identity as a Dutch farmer, something that has been a part of him since he was two years old.
After extensive research, James determined that Murray Grays were the perfect beef cattle to raise. They were docile, friendly, and beautiful, and they had no horns, which made them safe. With that decision, James began searching across Oregon to find the perfect calves to start his farm.
A couple of years later, James and Anna now have the most beautiful young ladies residing on their farm: Kay, Betty, and Wanda. They also purchased a handsome silver bull named Lincoln. At this point, it has been confirmed that all the ladies are pregnant—good job, Lincoln! The goal is to breed the female calves and harvest the steers.
The farm is continuing to develop. A shop is being built, complete with a shelter and a cow feeding station.
